I've been using some crappy PC speakers since 1998 when I bought my first computer in Korea, and they really aren't very good to put it mildly. I've been using headphones for all the work that I do on Guitar & Drum Trainer because they sound good (despite the dishonest behaviour from Panasonic here in Korea - they do sound good).
Well, I needed some speakers for my computer - LONG overdue - and while I was at RetailVision 2007 last week for the dayjob, I needed speakers there as well. Since the speakers I liked were about $375.00 here, I decided to get them in the US for about $250.00 plus tax. Those would be the BOSE Companion 3 Series II.
How to describe them? OFF THE HOOK! The Acoustimass bass is just insane and the tiny little boxes on my desk pump out sound like an 800 lb gorilla on steroids and crystal meth. They're just simply GORGEOUS!
The bass really pumps - almost too much. I had to turn the bass down on the woofer and it still shakes the room even at relatively low volumes. But they sound unbelieveable.
I'm sure I'm not the first, and I certainly won't be the last to give Bose a massive two thumbs up.
Cheers,
Ryan
