Yep. I'm asking for trouble in this blog... Real trouble if the wrong people read it...

The SBC helps Korean companies out and helped us at the dayjob go to RetailVision 2007. And we went along.

Anyways, at one of the night-time parties, I was the only person from the “Korean delegation” that showed up. From my perspective, I'm thinking, “WTF?!? You all should be here!” It's not about the “party.” It's all about the networking and talking to people. They all should have been there.

Well, I got some good contacts and talked to a lot of people. It helped. But I can't help but feel sorry for the other companies that missed out.

Then, another night, same type of thing... I was the only one out there working the crowd. Sure I talked to a lot of people that really don't mean anything to us as a company and financially, but I also talked to a lot of people that do. They missed out on it again.

It's not what you know... It's who you know... And I walked away knowing a lot of very good people that I can help make money for and they can help make money for us (me at the dayjob). I just feel sorry for them as they missed those opportunities.

Cheers,

Ryan

Re: I'm Disappointed...

As Thomas Edison said, "Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work."
