The whole “Korean” slant ticks me off. This has nothing to do with Korea or Koreans. Somebody went nuts and killed people. Period. Any racial slant is completely unjustified. Are all Germans Nazis? Hardly. It's a silly proposition.
Recently I was at an event in Nashville and while in the airport, the CEO of the company I was with was chatting with the clerk at the register. Well, it came out that he was Korean and the clerk said, “Oh, you're famous now,” and went on with some equally mindless garbage. I couldn't do anything but shake my head in disbelief. It was utterly in bad taste and completely racist. (The ethnicity of the clerk was not caucasian, just so that you don't think that he was a white supremecist idiot.)
Race baffles me. Why does anyone care?
None of my friends share the same “ethnicity” as me. And it doesn't matter in the least. The implications in the V-Tech incident are just silly.
Sorry if I'm ranting... This just ticks me.
Regards,
Ryan
