So I've slipped in “Rock and Roll is Dead” by Lenny Kravitz while I'm doing some work on GDT and figure that I'll check some tab online (the Slayer that I was using didn't have the huge waveforms that I needed for testing). I end up with Lenny-Kravitz.com and there's the tab for it! “Hey,” I think to myself, “He's about as cool as Judas Priest!” But the site has a lot of ads and crap, and I'm thinking to myself, “This stinks of 'not Lenny'.” So I look again... The official Lenny Kravitz site is LennyKravitz.com. OK - Well, whatever. Let's see if he really is as cool as Judas Priest...
Nope. No tab or anything available. Well, that settles it. Lenny's got some good stuff, but he's still not the cool-cats that the Judas Priest guys are.
In case you're wondering why I'm going on about this - check out all the free guitar tab over at the official Judas Priest site. That's just very cool of them to offer this stuff out there to the fans for free. I actually own all the books that they music is from and don't need it, but hey - it's appreciated.
Now, if only Lenny would publish some music for all the aspiring rock stars out there, he might just join the ranks of the Metal Gods - or at least in my books. (Click those links for the tab JPGs then complete ZIP file.)
Rock Hard, Ride Free,
Ryan
P.S. Thanks again to the Priest for letting me host their music here at Renegade Minds!

Re: Judas Priest Cooler Than Lenny Kravitz
Hello Ryan,
I read you from time to time at JOS. I never tried Judas Priest songs so I was happy to see their great tabs.
So I thought you might enjoy seeing my humble tabs for Sleater-Kinney: http://tk-jk.net/S-K/blog/general/Tabs.html
And for Pylon: http://pylon.tk-jk.net/blog/general/Tabs.html
I don't know Howyour trainers work and don't have the time to find out right now but I appreciate that you've done them. Tabbing got a lot easier for me when I discovered Audacity
Best wishes, Terry Kearns http://TerryKearns.net tk@tk-jk.net

Re: Judas Priest Cooler Than Lenny Kravitz
Hi there Terry! It's good to see a fellow JoS'r over here!
Audacity works, but "work" is the operative word. :) GDT is a LOT easier. I've got a few audio editors, but they're just too painful to use for tabbing or figuring out new music.
I see that you're tabbing on paper - that's one of the *distant* things that I want to add into GDT - a nice and easy way to jot down tab. But that's a long way off yet. I've got a few other things to get in there first.
Cheers!
