So, on my way home I decide to hop in a cab. I try to open the door to one, and it's locked. Stop. Wait. Try again. Locked. Oh well. Next. Walk over to another, and that taxi driver starts screaming and swearing at me and beckoning me to come back. Huh? Yell and scream and then I'm supposed to come back?

As I hop in the other cab and we drive past him he's hanging out his window screaming obscenities. Yeah. That makes me want to jump in your car dude... Some people just don't get what customer service is about. For one thing, it's not about screaming obscenities.

So I get home, walk down the street (very close to the curb - as close as I can get), and some woman drives by and hits my hand with her mirror. Whatever. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. I continue on my way unphased.

But she stops! Huh? Oh great. Now she's going to start swearing at me. But no! She asks if I'm ok! SHOCK! That has never happened before. And I've had this happen more than once. A lot more than once. Probably once every 1~3 months it happens.

Pedestrians have the right of way and unless my life is in jeopardy, I don't budge. (Needless to say, I jump out of the way a fair bit as I'm still alive.) If people would drive sanely, I'd behave more sanely. I just can't bring myself to encourage insane driving though by acquiescing to it.

Anyways, I didn't know what to make of it having someone actually stop and ask, so I nodded that I was ok and continued on home.

Just some wierdness from everyday life in the ROK.

Cheers,

Ryan
