Got to love punk! They've certainly got more balls than most, and not afraid to prove it either :)
A couple punk musicians from the Korean punk band "Couch" stripped down to their birthday suits onstage to cheer on their fellow punkers - "RUX" - all on the live TV show, Music Camp.
Though it was only broadcast for a few seconds, it was enough to get the 2 musicians arrested, along with the lead vocalist for RUX. Another "stellar" example of Korean justice at work :)
Of course blood was taken from them to test for alcohol or drugs, and though none showed up, hair samples will undoubtably show the musicians for the "evil anti-social monsters" that they really are... Yeah... Right...
Naturally the station was flooded with complaints about the naked musicians from all kinds of conservative nuts... err... I mean concerned citizens ;-) Which has precipitated the show being cancelled by MBC (the network that carried the show), a silly knee-jerk reaction at best.
Hmm... well... I hope it happens again and that more artists get naked just to flaunt things in people's faces. A bit of shock value would be really good for this country. They shouldn't apologize for what they did. They should moon the news crews!
And as for "concern" from the public, that's a total crock of BS. And I say that with good reason. That concern is two-faced hypocrisy at it's worst. Nudity in Korean is par for the course and there's zero public outcry. Why now? Oh... because they are corrupting the youth. Right. That's it. They're bad people. I remember a middle-aged fellow years ago talking about Seo-tae-ji (another musician), "We don't like him because he's bad for young people." And John Lennon was the anti-christ and if you play Led Zepplin backwards...
Walking down the street through any of several large entertainment districts in Seoul will expose you to cars with their windows covered in cards of naked women. These advertisements for "massage" / "sports massage" services, "room-salons", "business clubs" and other services are nothing short of pornographic advertisements for prostitution, and everyone knows it. What else did anyone think "full service" or "to the end / finish" meant?
The arrested musicians from Couch should be handed a medal instead. At least they've got the balls to have some kind of artistic expression - whether you or I like it or not - they've got courage. They aren't prostitues or pimps, but then again, the politicians and bureaucrats aren't going to see them late at night when they have their shady backroom deals going on...

Looks like sum fun is goin on in Korea. Maybe if those guys told the media that their band is actually a "business club" things would be different. As for hypocrisy, only reason "full service massages" exist is for the politicians. When you are young and pure there is only one thing left to do. That's be "corrupted". People should stop crying about the inevitable and have a coke and smile and shut the f**k up.

They never should have been arrested but should but hailed as heroes. It was a sexually charged show and showing us their balls was the ultimate! Kudos to them!
