The Shareware Industry Conference in Denver was fantastic. I met more cool and smart people than I could possibly hope to list here, so I won't even try. It was almost surreal meeting so many people that I didn't know, but I knew their software.
There were quite a few people there from different places. Lots of people from the UK, Russia, Austria, Germany, Canada, and even 1 from Thailand (Hi Jan!) and me from South Korea. I didn't get to talk to everyone, but I'm sure there were more countries represented there than I've listed.
The seminars were fantastic, even when there was a tornado warning and everyone had to go downstairs or hide under the sink in their bathroom :)
The final seminar on Saturday with Microsoft went really long, but everyone was attentive and enjoyed Daniel's presentation of Visual Studio 2005. There was quite a bit of excitement as Daniel demonstrated new functionality - in a word, WOW.
The event wrapped up Saturday evening with the Shareware Industry Awards Banquet. I had entered GDT figuring that I wouldn't win, but it could hurt. Well... Suprise. Suprise! GDT 2 won the Best Application Using .Net~! What a wonderful way to end a great conference. It will be very difficult for me not to go back next year :)
Cheers,
