Ignorant? Stupid? Or cheated?
That's what I wonder when I click a Google ad on an iPhone and it takes me to this web page:
What's wrong?
- It's a web site designed for full sized computers, and not mobile phones.
- It's a splash page.
- It requires Adobe Flash - The iPhone does not support Flash.
- It has no call to action.
- It is a total waste of money for the advertiser.
Now how did that happen? The above problems are just the beginning. Advertising can get pretty expensive if you're just burning money.
I know perfectly well that there's someone out there that at this point is saying, "Well, you noticed it and blogged about it, so it must be working." Ok, smartass. ;) But they're not getting any link love, so nyah~! :P
Jokes aside, is it stupidity, ignorance, or are they getting cheated?
