Although Renegade Minds is not an SEO site, I do end up doing quite a bit of SEO, just very little here :P And since it's something that I really enjoy, I figure it's about time to start writing about some SEO things that work.
Over the next while, I'll add in things that work along with some concrete things that you can do to improve how your sites rank in search engines and how you can compete in competitive areas that would normally exclude you.
Things will range from broad strategies to more concrete tactics that you can implement relatively quickly and easily. Of course, SEO is an ongoing process, and there's no 1-stop fix-it that works for everyone all the time. This is one area where I'll probably spend a fair amount of time on.
Oh, yeah... And another reason is that I'm sick of seeing all kinds of "SEO experts" charge sick amounts of money for trivial stuff. Would you believe that people pay hundreds of dollars for e-books that do nothing more than recycle a few ideas. They usually end up being more hype than substance. Hmm... maybe I should write a quick book of mostly substance and then charge sick amounts of money for it...
Cheers,
Renegade

Re: Why write about SEO?
Business teaches that ideas are stolen...and that good is the enemy of great. good will never win, because good is dumb.
