Things are coming along nicely with the book I'm writing -- "The Second Click" -- and I got some good direction from Bob Walsh over at 47Hats.com on getting things done for publishers, their expectations and the like.

It's going to take quite a while to get everything done, but I've been wanting to write this for a few years, and finally have the chance to do it.

So far The Second Click isn't much more than a few very rough and half-complete chapters along with a domain name that has nothing there. The next action step will be to get an outline done with all the chapters described. We'll see how that goes though as I fully expect things to change a few times.

I've already got a quite few people waiting for the book as well. I just had to turn down a request for some consulting from the CEO of an Australian company for pretty much exactly what the book will be about, and mentioned that to him. (At the moment I'm only working with companies domestically because of time constraints, but that will change.) He's looking forward for a few copies for his company.

I'd like to be able to get the book done as fast as possible, but I've got this teeny-tiny sneaking suspicion that the bottleneck is going to be the publisher...  

But it's time to get back to work! Lots to be done! I think I'm working on some stuff about stemming and word roots at the moment...
