Unfortuneately I wasn't able to go to the Software Industry Conference this year. I really look forward to it every year, but things didn't work out due to some bad timing issues and problems getting airplane tickets. Mostly just bad timing.
It would have been really nice to have been there to accept the Shareware Industry Award for Best Vertical Market Program or Utility for Guitar & Drum Trainer though.
The moment I found out that I'd won, I immediately started screaming, "YES!" The ear-to-ear grin on my face took a good long while to wear off, and I've still got it creeping back! 
I then went over to the Software Industry Conference web site to check (still yelling yes!), but they hadn't updated it quite yet.
Even half-way around the planet, it's still a HUGE thrill and a great honor to be recognized alongside software titles that are literally household words.
GDT has been nominated 4 times, and this is the 3rd time that it's won. To say that I'm stoked would be an understatement. I'm blown away.
