I've been fussing with the next release of Guitar and Drum Trainer for a while now, but have finally settled on something I think people will like.

Rather than ramble on what it is (click here to open a new window), I'll go through 2 of the new things that really help when practicing.

Saving Song Configurations (GDT files)

Since every song is different, saving song configurations really helps. You can set everything perfectly for a song including multiple loops points, multiple EQ settings, and effect settings. This lets you save a song configuration, then pick up later and continue where you left off.  You don't need to redo everything, which can be time consuming.

The best thing here is that you can share GDT song config files and not do the work again. GDT registered users can post them in the forums.

Volume FX

The new Volume effect is stellar for plugging into your computer and balancing the volume so that you can practice over top of your own music at perfect volume levels and hear both yourself and your music.

There's a lot more in the new version, but it is lacking documentation. That willl be in an update along with how to get the most out of GDT.

Another thing that will be useful for people is the new forum.

Anyways, cheers, and I hope GDT v2.3 helps you improve your playing.

Cheers,

Ryan
