Hello, I am haveing the same probem as Arthur. on Windows XP. (United States)

All the windows will open but I cannott get any to function, just a beep from my speakers. I can close the program and open more windows from the icon in the tray. I am only running in trial mode, but everything was working fine till I tried some different preference settings, closed and re-opened the program. I tried removing and reinstalling, with windows add remove and the remove that pops up when reinstalling the program.

I am running windows XP on dell inspiron core 2 with 2 gigs of ram.

Hello Carlin,

Browse to the GDT program directory. That's usually here:

C:/Program Files/Renegade Minds/Guitar and Drum Trainer v4/

On the GDT4.exe.config file, right-click and choose Properties > Security. (You may need to repeat this for the GDTTips.xml file as well.)

Select your username, then make sure that it has "Full Control" permissions. That shoud fix things.
