Trouble burning a CD  (United States)

I was able to down-tune a karaoke CD for my daughter in about 20 seconds (this rocks BTW and makes me look like AWESOME dad).  She can wail now (4 a 5th grader).  Problem, when I went to burn to a CD for her talent show... couldn't do it.  Is there a trick.  I've got files saved in"VLC media file (.flac)" and "MP3 Format Sound" but neither will burn to a CD when I try to burn... what am I missing?

Yikes. Big question. There are simply too many burners out there for me to answer, and I don't know which one you are using.

Double-check that the FLAC or MP3 file can be played normally either in VLC or GDT (it doesn't matter which you use to check). If the file plays normally, then likely the problem is with the burning software.

If the file does not play normally, try encoding it and checking it again.

Now, for the CD burning software, check which formats it supports. If it doesn't support FLAC or MP3, then that's the problem.

You can always use Windows Media Player to burn a CD. Here's a link with more info about that. I'm pretty certain that you'll have no problems there. Just make sure to use MP3 and not FLAC for that.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Ryan
